In the film, the author tries to reveal several levels of content at once. The first level is an attempt at an autonomous look into the recent past. The 16.mm film footage comes from the former socialist Czechoslovakia and was found in various ways through a classified ads. Based on archaeological methods, the author tries to find a non-ideological image that is not shaped by the gaze of any institution and its power networks. The second view is a struggle over the form of the film. An attempt to open up the intentions and show author’s creative possibilities to the viewers to the extent that they are able to recognize the subtle manipulations and tricks used in the creation of the moving image.
